004 by fayeroco featuring outdoor decor

When I was in Year 1, me and some friends in school joked that once we step into Year 3, our whole wardrobe will be black. IT CAME MOTHER EFFIN TRUE. I mean, I've been into all-black outfits before LASALLE and actually tried wearing colours for my first and second years, but there was a colossus of schoolwork to be done and my priority was to graduate, duh, and not to ponder if stripes would look good with microflorals. Fuck dat shiet. Black, grey, and navy are the colours perfect for lazy dressers like ya girl.

I set my blog aside for over a year because I was really busy with my final year in LASALLE. And yep, I've graduated from college. The feeling is overwhelming. Being in Fashion is no joke, my darlings, but boy am I glad that it's over. Even if I neglected my poor blog, I have been updating my Instagram religiously. (Follow me: @fayeroco)

Anddd, if you're wondering about what I've been up to recently: I'm still funemployed but I'm currently doing freelance jobs for a graphic design company. I realised that it's better to brush up on my skills first than dive in head first into a full-time job. I'm grateful for the projects being given to me not only because I'm earning from them but cuz I'm learning as well. #earningandlearning

And so, my 3-week USA holiday ended a few days ago (July 26/27). I'm currently experiencing jet lag and vacation withdrawal symptoms; missing the sights and sounds of America and daydreaming all day long. I've gone to 9 states (IL, IN, KY, AL, GA, FL, SC, TN, WI) thanks to (tiring) road trips. I've experienced old-town living, the beach life, staying overnight in an inn (and getting little sleep because of the fear of being murdered lol), living in the woods in a log cabin with WiFi, ultra-windy days, and I've conquered my fear of heights via the Sears/Willis Tower glass ledge (1,353 feet above the ground yaw). One of the most memorable summer vacays ever! The next time that I'll fly to the US, I'll be paying for my own air fare and shopping lol. Til next time, America! Thanks for the awesome memories x

P.S. I got my Timberland boots for USD12 from a thrift store in Evanston, IL. WHAAAAT?

Week 2 included a day in Typhoon Lagoon, shopping, 4-hour road trip from Orlando to Fort Lauderdale, enjoying the sea breeze at Miami beach, almost getting a VIP membership at a club, staying overnight at a creepy hotel on our way to Tennessee, and finally reaching the cabin in the woods where we stayed in for 3D2N. P.S. the woods is bear/deer territory. I DEF DO NOT WANT TO SEE ANY BEARS. Except if it's Yogi Bear. Or Winnie the Pooh.
